Interests

Currently, I am investigating the role of emotional and behavioral attunement (i.e., couples' perceptions of each other’s emotions and behaviors during conflict) in the association between relationship satisfaction and conflict resolution (i.e., Is the relationship between satisfaction and resolution moderated by the degree to which people can accurately perceive their partners' emotions and behaviors during conflict?).

My clinical interests include working with children and adolescents with both internalizing and externalizing disorders.  Presently, I am working with the Intensive Family Development Services team as part of St. Charles Youth and Family Services, doing in-home therapy with families in which children are at risk for being removed from the home.  This treatment team is based on an advocacy model, such that each family is seen individually, independent of family meetings.
