SyncCalc is a response to the problem of measuring group-level synchronization. Its central algorithm starts with a matrix, provided by the user, that indicates the level of influence of each person in the group on every other person in the group. The person who has the strongest influences on the others is identified as the driver. The person who is most responsive to the others is the empath. The algorithm then proceeds to calculate single coefficient of synchronization, SE.
