Biographical information


     Sean D. Kirkland is Associate Professor in the Department of Philosophy at DePaul University. His areas of specialization are Ancient Greek Philosophy and 19th and 20th century Continental Philosophy. He has published on the Pre-Socratics, Plato, and Aristotle, as well as on Greek tragedy and such thinkers as Nietzsche, Heidegger, and Foucault. His first book was The Ontology of Socratic Questioning in Plato’s Early Dialogues, and he is currently at work on a book-length manuscript tentatively titled ‘Tragic Temporality in Aristotle.’
